I had seen some patterns for a coffee cup cozy and took 2 patterns to make my own.
I used one from
Crochetville user
vigilant20 and one from
Crochet me Magazine by Kelly A. Jackson.
Worsted weight yarn and any novelty yarn for the edging.
Size H hook
Do not join rounds unless stated. Use stitch marker to mark beginning of the round.
*By going through the back loop only, lines are made in the pattern. Going through the back loop for each round will look like this:

Going through the back loop only for every other round will look like this:

Chain 31, join with sl st to form a ring
(Chain should be about 7 3/4" - depending on how tight or loose you crochet/type of yarn used/size hook used, simply make sure your beginning ring is about 7 3/4" around, increasing the stitches by one stitch every other round for a total of 4 increased stitches. Keep crocheting until the cozy is 3 3/4" tall.
