Angel Afghan

So last night I finally finished the Angel Afghan. I still wasn't feeling too well, and "Lost" and "Alias" were on. Even though we have a Replay machine, I didn't have the patience to wait so I watched and finished the afghan. I probably should have gone to bed early, but, oh well! Here's the photos of the finished product... I am now working up a Pineapple Eyelet Lace Doily designed by Sandra Jean Smith. I found the pattern in an Old-Time Crochet magazine dated Winter 1999. I'm using white size 10 thread and a 7 hook.

Tuesday, 4/26/05

I almost finished the blanket. I have one more round to do on 1/2 the length, the width and the length again. I was so tired last night I couldn't finish it. I don't know that I have ever stopped crocheting on the last round. But, my kids have been sick and I'm not feeling well, so I stopped. I'll be able to finish it today, though.

Monday 4/25/05

I worked up some more rows for the blanket. I stopped after row 99 and there are 104. 5 more rows. They are haunting me. But if I finish them, I'll say to myself, I can do the 2 rounds of edging tonight. No way. It's already 10 minutes until 1 and I need to get some sleep. Maybe I'll finish it tomorrow, Wednesday for sure.

I'm working on an afghan for a friend. It's a filet type afghan done in one piece. I got the pattern from e-patterns central and it's called Heavenly Hearts. I'm using Caron Simply Soft and an H hook. I'm very happy with the way it's turning out. There are 104 rows and 2 rounds of edging. I'm on row 80-something. I'm also in the process of designing a lacy decorative cuff for a wine bottle for another friend. He and his wife use wine bottles for candles and he wanted a lacy cuff to enhance the bottle. I couldn't find any kind of patterns that I was happy with, so with some help from some friends at my crochet group, I think I've got something going. Yesterday I completed 8 keychains and on Friday I made 6 bookmarks. They were fun and easy and I'm hoping to sell them in our church bookstore.
